About
Tradition
Founded in 1968, Ernie began E. Schmidt Construction Ltd. with his father Len. From framing to finishing, "hands on" was always a key component to assuring quality workmanship was in every aspect of each home.
After Len retired, Ernie's son Kevin joined the business full time in 1989. Having grown up on the jobsite, building was already a part of his life. Together, Ernie and Kevin maintained the "hands on" tradition of high quality homes that was started back in 1968.
Having built hundreds of homes in the Fraser Valley area Schmidt Construction understands what families are looking for in a home.
After Ernie's retirement in 2010, Kevin continues building homes where families can truly "put down roots"
Integrity
Through the years, Schmidt Construction has built a reputation of integrity and excellence. We believe that treating our trades and our homeowners with respect is of the utmost importance. We also believe in not compromising on the quality of materials and workmanship that goes into every home. We build each of our homes as if we were moving in ourselves.
Long before "Home Warranty" was a requirement, Schmidt Construction has always stood behind their homes, making sure their home owners were satisfied with their home.
Quality
At Schmidt Construction, we don't cut corners or use the cheapest trades. We strive to use the best materials and the best craftsmen to create a home that reflects the high standards that Schmidt Construction has become known for in the Fraser Valley.
Relationships
Maintaining good relationships with those around us is the key to a successful business. Over the years three simple relationships in our business have been a priority:
Through our relationship with CHRIST we realize our gifts, talents, and blessings have come from Him. We strive to live our Christ's example in how we do business and with those around us.
Creating an environment of trust with our HOMEOWNERS is also a relationship we value greatly. They can trust in the quality of the material and workmanship as well as our customer service.
We feel our relationship with our TRADES and SUPPLIERS is a vital component to our business. We consider ourselves and our trades part of one team, working to ensure the highest quality product and customer service.
Quality relationships are the HEART of our business
