About

Desa Construction was started in 2010. Dirk & his family live in Abbotsford and work in the surrounding valley region. He has worked in the construction industry learning the technical roots from his dad who works in commercial construction in WA state. In 2009 Dirk married Sandy and took up residence and work in Canada.  Prior to that Dirk worked in the commercial and residential construction industry.

Out of high school Dirk took up an apprenticeship program in sheet metal, working in commercial architectural metals and HVAC. He also received an applied science degree in civil engineering. The basis and technical aspects of which are still honed and used in the construction field.

Prior to starting his own venture, Dirk took up preconstruction sales, estimating and project management for a few commercial and residential companies in the U.S and Canada and always enjoyed a new challenge and opportunity to learn. This has followed into DESA construction where they take on a range and variety of projects. The willingness to learn and improve knowledge and skills in the industry is one of the keys to their success as a company. 

DESA Construction has multiple crews that do a range of work in all 3 sectors of construction with the bulk of the work in the Agriculture. Having their own supervision, labor, and heavy equipment provides control of the design details, scope, and schedule in a tight knit way. We are your builders and have full control of your project!
